Frederick De Moleyns
In 1801 Humphrey Davy invented platinum strips heated in the air by electricity, but the strips did not last a while. Frederick De Moleyns was the first patent for an incandescent lamp in 1841. He used powdered charcoal heated between two platinum wires and his idea was a success.
